Sometimes letters are sent to wrong or unknown addresses, or they get lost for some other reason. The posts below are supposed to be excerpts from letters lost in the (fictional?) Tristero network. The sacred bones of my fathers

Dr. Artemus B. Danvers, from the University of Miskatonic Dept. of Anthropology, once followed the trail of this particular relic, reportedly the skull of a true cyclops, up to a small town in the Mediterranean shore, south of Barcelona. There he met a local official who owned the thing and seemed willing to sell it.

-These are the bones -he said- of one ancestor of mine.

This weird man, Danvers noticed, didn’t take off his dark glasses even in the half light of that old building. Then he asked for a lot of money, a ridiculously high figure that Danvers couldn’t pay and that’s the end of the story, full stop.

I’m sure there’s not much more to tell about this event. Unfortunately Danvers was an old man at the time. He felt sick and tired in the hotel and lost his -precious- notebook before returning to the United States.
